Mathias Svold (b. 1991) is a documentary photographer based in Denmark. Besides pursuing personal long-term projects he is working with various kinds of reportage, portrait and video assignments as a freelance photojournalist.
He has a strong interest in the relation between humans and nature and his work often investigates how climate, people and communities affect the nature. His stories aims to remind the viewers about our impact on nature as society and often focus on covering an area or theme telling small stories in a larger context.
He graduated in 2017 from the Danish School of Media and Journalism’s photojournalism program, he have been interning for Jyllands-Posten (DK) and National Geographic Magazine (US).
